So who are they? When last I checked, the Rasputins consisted of Old Gregory (Rasputin), his wife Jacqueline a.k.a. “Jackie”, and their children Jonathan, Evangeline, and Janeen f.k.a. “Jeanine”. Also with them are Irene, Alberta, Bartok, Jennie, Gregory II, Matthew, Thomas “Jeff”, Kelvin, Courtie, and Christina.
Old Gregory and the family made fun of Hollywood, various presidents and other leaders, celebrities, cities, and movies. No one was spared, not even the Teen Rebels, who were abused to a fault. The Rasputins even sparred with John Cleese of the famed Monty Python Troupe when he discovered that the family had been making fun of him in one of their movies.
But of course, secrets, lies, and jealousy eventually tore apart the Rasputin family, and to this day, no one has seen or heard from Old Gregory. Jon, Eva, and Janeen have also disappeared, leaving us to wonder what had happened to them. The Rasputin Show does live on, but only because Bartok breifly mentions it in “The Green Hill Manor Mystery“, where he was a child star of the show from his sixth year until he turned 14 years old.
So Rasputins, where are you? Please come back and make another film about yourselves, because all we have left of your comedic genius is ”Rasputin’s The Meaning of Life“, and that movie is now over 10 years old. Come back, please; you fans miss you!
